South Aveyron

At the entrance of the Gorges du Tarn, the “Comptoir Paysan”

At the gates of Millau, at the entrance of the Gorges du Tarn, it is unmissable. This “Comptoir Paysan” does not go unnoticed in this valley of the Tarn. In this beautiful space covered with wood, there are products of the country to take away. Or to savor on the terrace facing the causses while talking with local producers. The building houses at the back all the equipment of the cooperative of the Vignerons des Gorges du Tarn , starting with their bottles of delicious and fruity wines.

With this “Comptoir Paysan”, the winegrowers of the Tarn Gorges have concretized concepts that rarely go beyond the rhetoric: local consumption, the short and direct circuit, the nature and authentic product, the fair remuneration of producers …

In this “Comptoir Paysan”, you can taste the whole range of wines from Côtes de Millau AOC, but there is much more. Hundreds of products, some Paulhe cherries, cheeses, hams and cured meats, vegetables, cakes and spit cakes, Larzac knives and even Caussenarde beer. All the richness of the terroir of Aveyron are available in self-service. They are consumable on site. And with a supplement of € 2 for those those who want to warm up their dishes. To start with the famous sausage of Conquet, famous butcher of the Aubrac which delivers the best restaurants of Paris.
